Chinatown 5K
July 11, 2009, Saturday
Race begins at 8 AM
Wentworth and Archer Avenues

Join us for the 7th Annual Chicago Chinatown 5K race through one of Chicago's most recognizable communities. With only one turn, this race is a fast course that runs through the heart of Chinatown and finishes back at the start line. This year, we also feature a quarter mile Youth Run for ages 6-10 and team competition for the 5K run.

10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Wentworth from Cermak to 24th Place
Neighborhood Festival featuring: A Dragon and Lion Dance procession at 12:30 p.m., welcome at 1 p.m. starts at the Main Stage (23rd St. & Wentworth Ave.) with Asian cultural entertainment and live music. A taste of Chinatown’s many restaurants, local unique gift shops, Chinese art’s and craft’s exhibit, street vendors with an array of merchandise and a children’s area (24th Place & Wentworth) for a day long family event.
